This is a great little computer within its borders. Actually I wanted to travel and as a backup from my Dell desktop. The weight was very important because I'm a crazy old man retired and wanted to keep to a minimum, what I have to ear in the vicinity of airports. I had an early and small models ASUS was very good, but the 7 "screen, keyboard, were usable only by a four-year-old fingers and control progam oddball too easy for me. This Acer Aspire One is only 532H-2326right.
I added a second GB of RAM, by the advice in a previous post and install CT25664AC800 Crucial 2GB DDR2 SODIMM 200-pin PC2-6400 module. The most difficult part of the installation was getting the plastic container of industrial strength open without damaging the memory card. COUNCIL FOR someone who's never had a memory card installed: Go to crucial.com and find the instructions. The key is to avoid static electricity, and they tell you exactly how. A small screw holds thethe memory compartment closed and the whole process took less than five minutes. Despite the messages of others, my book says Acer clear statement that this model supports up to 2GB and it is true.
BATTERY really amazing in this model offers 10 hours, said even after several cycles. It lasted 14 hours, including four hours of "sleep" between two sessions. I recommend following the instructions and passes through 2-3 full charge / discharge for the season.
<br/ Software>: I think I'm good with Windows 7 Starter, which is fast, familiar and absolutely stable, so far, and I have nothing against the choice of a unique, blue windows wallpaper. I use this machine primarily for web surfing, e-mail, photo work and only Keep track of my daily investment losses, while I'm away from home. I think the included MS Works, PowerPoint Viewer and Adobe Reader is perfect for me. Otherwise, a few dollars more I do MS Office and a larger version of Windows 7, but IFigure of less overhead, the faster it goes. Tip for Adobe Reader: I first had a problem Adobe Reader to start because the license agreement does not contain "Apply" button. Eventually I realized that I, the font size of the screen to 125% (increased recall, I'm an old fool). After he returned suddenly to the default print tiny (in the Control Panel) on the Accept button changed and all is well.
The keyboard is perfect for my wife. With my fingers over itI needed to get used for a while. There will never be equal to a full-size keyboard, but I can not touch type, but with a few more mistakes than usual and I am grateful for the spell check.
In summary, this computer is not for gamers or dedicated intensive business requirements. It would probably be for most students, especially those with the fingers of small to medium sized, and fits perfectly to my computer via a trip to a light occasional use. For the price you get a lot ofComputer.

Good value with minor issues – Len in Sacramento – Sacramento, CA
The Acer model is a good value with a 250 GB hard drive and longer battery life. The surface absorbs fingerprints very easily. The USB ports are a little tense. I bought the upgrade to 2 GB Crucial RAM recommended, as the 1GB of RAM standard treatment is slow, especially to start. The module Crucial was a very tight fit, but with enough pressure finally seated. 2 GB RAM definitely makes a difference.
Acer netbook better than expected – John C – Orange County, NY, USA
It is a little slow, but with only one GB of memory, is expected. It has built up a very good device, the touchpad is excellent, I love the gestures, the display very clear, the wireless Internet is better than average, I recommend it.
Very happy with it in 3 months – Freedom for All –
Works great, I like the price, battery life is longer than 8 hours (do not know exactly how much) I just close without turning off again a week later and the battery is always charged, that I left. This little netbook Windows 7 and do a good job, to save the battery.
