I researched on the Internet and called Panasonic on the difference between the device and FS7 for identifying money before you buy …. but in vain. I went with him and on my fingers. Most of the time I'm here to tell, you do not need to cross your fingers. The only difference I could find is that the FS7 does not come with an AV cable, and FS8. I would say if you do not strictly a color other than money, and you do not have the AV cable, you can read very good reviews of FS7 andsave a few dollars by buying the FS8.

DMC-FS8S vs. DMC-FS7 – Roger – Denver, CO
For the previous review – the specifications for the two cameras are almost exactly the same. The FS8S has a low Apeture – F3.3-F2.8 vs f5.9-5.9 for FS7.

Nothing special at this time other SDHC card that is large at 16 GB and a high speed, reasonable, class 4 (Have not tested the download speed yet, but it is not my frames GoPro digital HD video camera, recording video or 12 minutes). I needed the large amount of disk space, because I saw him with an HD camera GoPro Helmet. The 1080p and 720p video camera creates files in GB instead of MB measured. This card was a good price and has been reliable in both my GoProHD camera like my Canon A710 camera older than I use with an underwater housing for diving.
