This little netbook is very low. I compare it to OQO, a poor man, but he does his job intended: to the Internet. You can not play WoW on it and expect them to imitate their PC at home. In addition, it was a Celeron is somewhat hampered the performance expected of her. However, it is underclocked! Good and bad also. This is to save energy and prolong the life of the machine. I was lucky, a version w / Windows XP on it get for a reasonable price. The first thing I did was go2GB SO-DIMM memory and that seemed to help. The automatic update (which I think disabled) me with XP Service Pack 3, so that small HD already eaten. Directions from swapfiles more than 5% of HD, a quantity for a single drive, the 8GB SD 701 has an SD card reader (hence the name is free RID), so that we can put the reader Solid State by some margin. It seems a little warm when it is used to work for some time. The battery recharges relatively quickly compared to my Compaq V6444US.
Again, this is something small, and is adjacent to its novelty, but its saving grace is the access to world-wide-web of 802.11 b / g wireless or RJ-45. I will learn the Netbook "of applications are necessary to accelerate overclock, I installed a firewall, a spyware detector, Real Player, Adobe Reader and PowerPoint Viewer for the person on the road to better use on the" Net. This little computer is good for children, new people who are on computers and for thesewhich are not and who do not want to be sure not to lose data when Hey drop because of its Solid State Drive. Remember, that the Asus Eee 701 SD may ENIAC (duh. excel.) And it surprises me that computers have for a fair price from nearly everyone, and how far things can get, bee developed and will be continued. A good buy, that is well built, but slowly, compared to all the computers in the modern home. It's like 1995 again! Again and again, that in this sense: It is the Internet. Knowledge andRemember that you are doing fine and make you good services.
Have fun and God bless you!

This netbook is good overall, I think, but I had so much trouble typing. Only 86% of the size of a normal keyboard really threw me and even after 2 months with this product my fingers still had problems. The extended desktop which means that you had read the entire screen at times moving to a single Web page or Word document.
The ultimate 1.9 lb Windows machine !!! – Saabster 2006 – Tucson, AZ USA
I really enjoy using this netbook! I have several HP and Acer netbooks, but had £ 10.2 inch screen approach 3 I think they are the spirit of this class of laptop. I use mainly to get things on the web thanks to the built-in WiFi Clock and my wife and I used it successfully on a recent trip to San Francisco on my Sprint phone as a modem. The keyboard is a bit tight, but I usually give no more than 10 words whenso its not usually a problem for me.
FOR:
– Small!
– Did I mention it's small? Hardly bigger than a VHS cassette.
– Lightweight at 1.9 pounds
– Good battery life for its size (I 3-4 hours)
CONS:
– Small screen (non-standard resolution, wanted it supports 1024 * 768)
– The keyboard is small and can be a challenge for people, truck drivers like me his hand.
– There is no speed demon, I will not open more than 6 tabs in Firefox
I bought one of these comes with Linux, I sucked big time Xolaris load XP (with my external CD-ROM drive) and the hard drive in this small laptop wasen't big enough to download updates, or download a virus scanner and I had SP 1 run left me open to viruses. The buttons are small, so expect typos galore, the screen is small and only half that have Web sites similar to one CIO, scroll and read a sentence on the screen shows is an ISD is better than this notebook. The new Eee PC 1000 is eons better, you can load Vista and have compentant actually a hard drive!
