Dell Inspiron Mini IM10-USE020AM Netbook with Integrated TV Tuner – Alpine White Review

Watch video: http://www.amazon.com/review/RQHCSY5FVS4OG I bought my Dell Mini 10 (blue cover) and I must say that this is one of the best investments I ever made. If you think you've found a laptop for the price of three hundred U.S. dollars high, then you are sorely mistaken. It is essentially a smartphone, PDA increased the size of a ten-inch screen connected to a keyboard. Most of the bells and whistles intact.

In the beginning, took some time to get used to itScreen. Web sites are easily changed by 10-inch screen, so the toolbar on the (file, update, etc. belong), it may seem as though there is little space on the web page, but you use it. Viewing a page, as on a desktop computer, some parts of the site moved when viewing it on your netbook and should be expected because of the size.

I know everyone complains about the keyboard, but it's really not that bad. Itonly a few tries before the realization of what is best for you. I've learned to do a Dell Studio, the best, the whole space than a mouse use. Do not want to just beat down on the key, but choose only two strokes on the keyboard to a choice. If you do not, you will find the experience of surfing the web, typing a Word document, etc., to a horrible experience.

Otherwise, if you are looking for a compact small bigNetbook remain on the Web in touch, check email, surf a few pages – then the netbook for you. There is not much adjustment due to the small size of the netbook feels very easy to just under three pounds and practical smaller and thinner, then the new Twilight book. I ordered it on amazon, but it was cheaper from Dell.

Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase pleased because it is a great investment for anyone who needs Internet access ongo. The only complaint I have is the price. I know his three hundred, but I've had a regular laptop with a screen of 15 inches and HP, that three hundred. Of course, this was not a laptop senior revolutionary, but it does the trick and power wise is more powerful than the Mini. I feel the price should not fall a hundred dollars. Otherwise, this is an excellent tool to have a PC.

Strengths:
Very lightweight (less than three pounds)
Cover individual with different colors <br/> Windows XP (thank God – Vista is so WHACK)
Size of the keyboard is 90% from a keyboard
Wi-Fi
3 USB slots
160 GB
1.66 GHz
1 GB of RAM

Weaknesses:
A bit pricey IMO – it should really be two hundred years old
No DVD slot

Power-Sipping Processor
Newly designed from the ground up, the Intel Atom Z520 uses a brand new 45nm (nanometer) design structure with new hafnium-infused circuitry–which reduces electrical current leakage in transistors–to conserve even more energy and give you more time away from the wall outlet. The Intel Atom Z520 provides a 1.3 GHz CPU speed with a 533 MHz front-side bus (FSB) and 512 KB L2 cache–which uses just 2 watts of power. (An L2, or secondary, cache temporarily stores data; and a larger L2 cache can help speed up your system’s performance. The FSB carries data between the CPU and RAM, and a faster front-side bus will deliver better overall performance.) It supports Intel’s 64-bit computing architecture, which can allow the use of extended virtual and physical memory with compatible 64-bit software, as well as Intel’s Hyper-Threading technology for speedier multitasking.

Display and Audio
The Inspiron Mini 12 has a 12.1-inch LCD screen with TrueLife high-gloss/anti-reflective technology, which features a sharp contrast finish that’s well suited to immersive 3D games and watching videos. This notebook has a single speaker for mono audio playback.

Networking, Connectivity & Expansion
This notebook has an integrated 54g wireless LAN that’s fully compatible with 802.11b/g wireless networks. With the integrated Bluetooth connectivity, you can communicate and synchronize with Bluetooth-enabled peripherals such as PDAs and cell phones as well as use Bluetooth-enabled headsets for handsfree video chats. It comes with the following external connectors:

  • 3 USB 2.0 ports for connecting a wide range of peripherals–from digital cameras to MP3 players
  • Analog video output: 1 VGA
  • 10/100 Fast Ethernet networking
  • 1 headphone (line-out) and 1 microphone (line-in)
  • 3-in-1 memory card reader compatible with Secure Digital (SD), Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC), Multimedia Card (MMC), and Memory Stick

Dimensions
This laptop measures 11.77 x 9.02 x 0.92 inches and weighs 2.72 pounds.

This package includes the Dell Inspiron Mini IM12-2869, 3-cell rechargeable battery, AC adapter, and printed documentation. It’s backed by a 1-year limited warranty with mail-in service. Don’t buy Dell – MadDogMongo –
Do not buy the Dell, if you speak to a call center in India, where trained customer service are all you want to say, "No, no, no, they are rude and talk to you, and finally disconnect the call. Don ' t buy Dell, I never would this error. The company will not survive the sale of the shares if you have any further!

Disappointing product, disappointing service – Ulrike Gretzel – College Station, TX
If my Inspiron Mini 12 for a little over 2 weeks, if I did on a flight from Europe to work on a Word document. Heard a crackle and then the system crashed. Can not find the hard drive more. Then no more video. Called Dell support tech. Horrible experience. The man did not listen to me. Diagnosed problem hard drive. When the technician came to replace the hard drive, he realized it was more than wrong. Called Tech Support again. They beganask me about my personal data back, even if I show the number and everything. After answering the questions for 15 minutes, I asked to speak to a manager. Took another 5min I refused to answer further questions, would be transferred before. Had to send on my laptop. Dell did not bother to replace them. Give me an old again replaced with some parts. Did not even put up the portable settings that I ordered. Looked at the Dell website to write a review. Could not figure out how. However, could read the other comments and it seems that this problem is widespread. I was very happy from Dell before (had) a width. I am not happy. Even without the problem, the performance of the laptop rather disappointing. Much faster that you expected. Only advantage is the ease.
